EarPollution’s Comfort Series of headphones reminds me somewhat of the SkullCandy brand. Their aim is to be hip and to provide great audio quality at the same time. In terms of those two goals, I’d say the CS40 headphones do the trick. However, these headphones also focus on something that others might not: comfort. When EarPollution throws the words “comfort series” into this product line, they really mean it.
As someone who spends a lot of time listening to music, having headphones on all the time can become somewhat uncomfortable. However, with the large cushioning that EarPollution has put into these headphones, wearing them for a long time makes no difference at all. Better yet, the headphones themselves are lightweight, so they don’t pull down your head when you wear them. And to top it all off, extending or decreasing the length of the speakers is simple, providing for the best fit around your head. These headphones are almost like having a perfect pillow on which to sleep.
Another main reason I thoroughly enjoyed these headphones is because of the audio quality they pump out. The CS40s were able to get all the bass and sound I needed for my tunes. I could listen to deep bass like Akon and high jams like Taylor Swift (don’t judge me) with no issues at all. Needless to say, they beat Apple’s standard headphones hands down.

Tech Specs:

* Driver Unit: 40 mm
* Impedance: 32 ohms
* Sensitivity: 120 dB +/- 3 dB
* Frequency Response: 30 Hz to 20 kHz
* Cord Length: 1.2 m
* Plug: 3.5 mm
Lastly, the CS40s are hip. With a variety of different colors, you’re sure to be able to find one that matches your personal style. However, the design and form of the headphones are also nice. In other words, you don’t have to feel like a dork from the ‘70s while you’re riding on the subway with these headphones.

That said, there is one thing about these headphones that could be altered to make them that much better. As they’re built now, they don’t cover your ears enough to block out all external sounds. While you can turn them loud enough where this isn’t an issue, sometimes you want quiet music over a loud environment without having to worry about external noises seeping through.

In summary, the CS40 headphones are great all around. They’re comfortable for long amounts of time, the audio quality is superb, and the design is great. If you’re looking for a relatively cheap way to get into the over-the-ear headphone market, the EarPollution CS40 headphones are the way to go.
